Modifier Groups

Introduction #

In this section, you can create a Modifier group related to Modifiers and put the same group of Modifiers together. Also, you can set the number of options available for each Modifier group. For example, how many toppings can be chosen by a customer for ice cream.

Basic Setting #

Create a new Modifier Group #

1.Click on the Modifier Group section on the left-hand side of the screen, then you will need to click on “+Create Modifier Group” to fill in the Modifier Group information. For example, size.

2.Please click the “Create” button after you fill in all relevant information.

Edit and delete a Modifier #

The edit and delete buttons are in the last “Action” column. You can edit or delete it by clicking the button.

When you click on the “Edit” button, there are two tabs for you to edit.

2.Please click the “Save” button and turn on the “published” switch after you complete the updating.

Note: Please turn Off the “published” before you make any change.

3.Pair Modifier: Select the “Pair Modifier” tab to choose Modifiers that you create in the last advanced setting step group together

• You can add Modifiers on the left box to the Modifier Group by ticking them and clicking on the right arrow between these two boxes. Then they will move to the right box.
• Please click the “Save” button and turn ON the “published” switch after you complete this process.

Advanced Setting #

Customize Setting #

Note: “Customize Setting” is a necessary section that you have to scroll down on this page. It enables your Modifiers to be “required”, “optional” with few conditions for your customers to select.

Here are some demonstrate to help you better understand this feature.

First, let’s go back to the Dish page and select the “Soft Drink” that we have created in Step 2 above. REMEMBER to turn OFF the “published” switch before you are making any change, otherwise, you cannot save anything!

1.Select the Modifier Group.

2.Please click the “Save” button and turn ON the “published” switch after you complete this process.

Sample 1: No settings

From the picture below, you can see that the customer can choose any Modifier and its quantity.

Sample 2: Switch on “Max choice” and the quantity is 2

From the picture below, you can see that the customer can choose any Modifier, the quantity up to a Maximum of Two.

Sample 3: Switch on “Min choice” and the quantity is 2

From the picture below, you can see that the customer can choose any Modifier, at least Two, and no upper limit.

Sample 4: Switch on both “Min choice” and “Max choice” and the quantity is 3 and 5.

From the picture below, you can see that the customer can choose any Modifier, at least three, and up to five quantities.
