How to create you first Menu?

Intorduction #

Basic Setting

Step 1: Create a list of Dish Types (It called “Offering” in Dish) for your dishes. For example, Side, Main, Dessert, soup, etc.

Step 2: Create your dishes.

Step 3: Create a list of Categories (It called “Menu” in Dish) for your dishes. For example, Breakfast, Lunch special, Kid’s meal, etc. And put relevant dishes together in a Menu.

Advanced Setting

1. Create Modifier(s) for your dishes. For example, Large size, Regular size, Small size, Level of spicy, etc. (You can create it at the beginning, or when you need it.)
2. Create Modifier Group(s) for all the Modifiers that you created above. You can put Large size, Regular size, Small size in a Modifier Group called “Size”, etc. (You can create it at the beginning, or when you need it.)
3. Set up Inventory for the dish.

Basic Setting #

Step 1: Create a list of Dish Types (“Offering”) #

Click on Dish Types on the left-hand side of the screen, then you will need to click on the “+Create dish type” button to fill in the Dish Type information.

Note: Information marked with a RED asterisk is necessary to create a dish type.

Step 2: Create Dishes #

1.Click on Dishes on the left-hand side of the screen, then you will need to click on the “+ Add dish” button, and it will jump to a new page.

2.Then you need to fill in the relevant information about this dish e.g., Description, image, etc.  Also, you can select the Offering (Dish Types) that you have created in Step 1.

Note: Information marked with a RED asterisk is necessary to create a dish.

3.Please click “Save” button after you fill in all relevant information.

Suggestion: You can turn on the “Publish” switch at this stage.

Step 3: Create a list of Categories (“Menu”) #

1.Click on Category on the left-hand side of the screen, then you will need to click on “+ Add menu” button, and it will jump to a new page.

2.Please click the “Save” button after you fill in all relevant information.

Note: Information marked with a RED asterisk is necessary to create a Menu.

Scroll down this page and there is a dish pool. This is one of the ways you can add the dishes that you created into this menu.

3.You can add dishes on the left box to the menu just by ticking them and clicking on the right arrow between these two boxes. Then they will move to the right box.

4.Please click the “Save” button after you complete this process.

Advanced Setting #

Create Modifier(s) #

1.Click on the Modifiers section on the left-hand side of the screen, then you will need to click on the “+Create Modifier” button to fill in the Modifier information.

2.Please click the “Create” button after you fill in all relevant information.

Create Modifier Group(s) #

1.Click on the Modifier Group section on the left-hand side of the screen, then you will need to click on “+Create Modifier Group” to fill in the Modifier Group information. For example, size.

2.Please click the “Create” button after you fill in all relevant information.

3.After creating a Modifier Group, you can click the “Edit” button in the last “Action” column and select the “Pair Modifier” tab to choose Modifiers that you create in the last advanced setting step group together (Same usage as you did in Step 3: Create Category).

4.Please click the “Save” button and turn ON the “published” switch after you complete this process.
